With teams in Miami Dallas, Phoenix, Pittsburg, and Australia, PTB Group is ready to respond at any hour.

“While growing up in Miami, Florida my mother worked for Delta Airlines, and as a great benefit our family traveled a lot. I’ve always had an appreciation for all forms of aviation,” said DJ.

Graduating with a BA Business degree from Florida International University in 2004, DJ was undecided about a specific career direction to pursue.

“I needed a job and found United Turbine, a local aviation engine shop looking for a purchasing person. I took the job working for what I thought was low pay and planned to keep looking. Ten years later I had learned production management, customer service, and the intricacies of sales.”

In 2009, DJ was promoted to Production Manager. In 2014, United Turbine was purchased by Continental Motors, a manufacturer of piston engines used by Cessna, Diamond, and Piper aircraft. He was promoted to General Manager of United Turbine.

“A year later I resigned. With support from Australian investors and my experience with the PT6 engine, I started Pacific Turbine-USA in Miami. As an extension and support operation to Pacific Turbine Brisbane Group (PTB) we support both PTB and Prime Turbines with parts, and supply engines and parts to customers in the open market,” said DJ.

PTB Group was acquired by Precision Aviation Group (PAG) in 2022. With teams in Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, Pittsburg, and Australia, PTB Group is ready to respond at any hour. Customers also have access to PAG’s $150K inventory of over 200,000 flight-ready components and MRO services from PAG locations worldwide.

“One of the most important ways we serve our customers is by providing the best possible pricing and options, with our rapid response being the most critical. We understand their needs and do everything we can to keep operators flying with quality products at affordable prices. A quick response helps to build customer trust and loyalty. Once a customer has a representative ready to work with them right away, they appreciate the support and call back.

“We have a customer that operates PT6 and Rolls-Royce M250 engines,” said DJ. “He was delighted when, on his behalf, we contacted Keystone Turbine Services (KTS) for engine support and Trace Aviation for landing gear support.

“We understand that aviation is constantly changing. The challenge is keeping ahead of the demand. PAG leadership supports good-business-case strategic initiatives to buy inventory for overhaul and resale. It’s a planned process, focused on sourcing what customers need before they need it.

“I also respect PAG’s consistency of growth. David Mast, CEO has been part of the company from day one. PAG is much bigger now, but David is still part of the company making decisions. I can call David, as well as other PAG executives for support at any time. PAG feels more like a giant family, rather than a giant corporation,” concluded DJ.
